Hand luggage challenge with Aer Lingus?
There is information on how much hand luggage you can take on an Aer Lingus flight. If you can fit all of your hand luggage into the size bag which is their maximum and it doesn't weigh too much, fit it in there. Details of their checked in luggage are on the second link. As long as it doesn't go over the weight limit in total, you can have up to three bags. One thing you could try (assuming they are available in Dublin) are vacuum storage bags (like the ones on the third link). You put your clothes/pillow in, seal and suck the air out with a vacuum cleaner. Makes everything much smaller.
