Will I be okay traveling to Czech alone?

I just graduated and had amn exchange student as a best friend from Czech republic...she wantse to come and visit her for two weeks but I have no idea about requirements for going there and coming back and I've never been in an airplane.so I was wondering if I could get some traveling advise ..on like what size suitcase and maybe some good websites someoneay know where I can get some good info
